Netgear a fantastic product !

Hi, this post is not a question of difficulty :)

I bought the Ultra-4 in 2008 and with Seagate st2000dl003-9vt166 2TB

Used RAIDiator 4.2.22 and never upgradet it

I see in the forum that several have problem with special these Seagates discs.

The Seagates discs I have was no problem, the Ultra-4 and these four Seagates was on in the Ultra-4. Never stopped the Ultra-4, going for almost 9 years.

A month ago I got failure with the discs:

Disk-1: OK
Disk-2: Dead
Disk-3: OK
Disk-4: OK

Changed disk-2 with new disk and took Ultra-4 down and restartet.

And now Disk-2 was spare and Disk-3 was dead. Changed Disk-3 with new and restaret and all discs was green and ok

Now the Ultra-4 is on and all Segates disk is OK and green.

Regardless, I have now bought a Netgear RN524 and WD Pro 4TB discs in the new Netgear Readynas
