RN104 will not power
I was in the middle of swapping to faster (more compatible) disks and when the readynas was rebuilding the last (4th) disk it lost power and now will not power up. If the powersupply has bit the dust and I purchase an RN214 to replace this one, will the 214 finish rebuilding the x-raid or will I have to rely on my backup? (I do have a backup)...
thanks

Re: RN104 will not power
I don't know if the RN214 could rebuild the xraid from a RN104, but why would you do that? Reinstall the new new disks in to the RN214 and start from scratch with a system default. Then restore from the backup. I think this would actually be the faster option...

Re: RN104 will not power
I think it probably will. No harm in trying. If it doesn't come up telling you to remove all drives but also doesn't start to resync, you can either remove the last drive, delete the partitions, and re-insert so it restarts the sync or do a factory default and restore from backup.
