Ready Nas 102 - Password Failure
I am the administrator for my NAS-102 and I am trying to backup my PC to our network using the windows backup feature in Windows 10. I have followed the directions in this link:
I keep receiving a message to say that my credentials are not valid. I am using the credentials for my NAS. I have also tried a password reset and using the password that was given to me and this too does not work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are running without backups.

Try accessing the NAS share with file explorer first. If you can see the destination folder, then try copying a test file to it.

Re: Ready Nas 102 - Password Failure
Thanks for the info. I managed to get this working again. The issue was that the NAS was set to dynamic IP and it had changed on me. That coupled with a change of the original password was the cause of the issue. I am now back up and running. Thanks!

Most home routers have a way to reserve the IP address in the NAS. Netgear routers call this "Address Reservation", some call it "ARP binding" or "MAC address binding".
I recommend doing that - it generally works out better than assigning static addresses. You have one place to manage the addresses, and if you switch routers to one that uses a different address space, then all your devices will still connect.
