ReadyDR key exchange

I raised this issue before but it appears the KB is still incorrect:

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Backing-up-to-your-ReadyNAS/ReadyDR-setup/m-p/1265162#M14122

In the KB article (link below), it states that the key from the source should be imported to the destination.

https://kb.netgear.com/31227/ReadyDR-Key-Exchange

In actual fact this does not work with pull jobs  The key from the destination needs to be imported to the source for the ReadyDR job to function.

I think you are meaning to say that the key needs to be imported to the remote system (which could either be the source of destination of the ReadyDR job).

I've forwarded your comment to development.

Re: ReadyDR key exchange

I suppose that would be one way to correct the KB, I was using the KB terms (source and destination)

Of course, and that is the conceptual problem with the article.

As far as key import goes, it doesn't matter if the remote system is the backup sourrce or the backup destination.  All that matters is that it is remote (e.g., the system not running the backup job).
