ReadyNASOS 6.8.0 - file transfers drop after 9 mins RN104

I use my readynas as a media server. After installing the 6.8.0 firmware, video files have stopped transfering spontaniously after about aproximatly 5 minutues over SMB. This makes it impossible to steam films to watch over Kodi.

The problem also persists in windows 10 explorer when managing and moving files, where even on deleting files the transfers hang.

There is nothing in the Log on the admin console to suggest there is a problem.

I installed the 6.7.5 firmware and the problem goes away.

6.8.0 renders my NAS useless.

Can i disable updates?  Is this a known issue?

Do you have Enhance MacOS enabled?  If so, disable it - or try 6.8.1 beta.

after installing 6.9 the problem has resumed, even with the MAC OS option  disabled.  So i have gone back to 6.7.5

Hi opalfruit,

I understand that video files stopped transferring over SMB after about 5 minutes. You may try using the 6.9.1 Beta 2 and check if you will still have the same issue. You may download the 6.9.1 Beta 2 here:
