Turned off the nas, reinserted disk 1. It powered up but didn´t seem to see the "new" disk, still said Volume C is unprotected. Next, put in the disk while the system was up, now it is resyncing volume. Hoping this means the system will again be redundant when it finishes
After resyncing volume with disk 1 the nas seams to be working fine again. To some degree. Volume C is now i degraded mode (due to the missing disk 5) But at least it is booting up every time now. The first few days after resyncing it was showing some weird behavior though. Boot-up time was a lot slower than normal and Frontview showed several of the disks as beeing dead and Volume C as empyt, but I was still able to access the files on the Nas. That seams to have "gone away" by itself now, and the only thing is the display showing "Vol C degraded" I spec when I put in a new disk 5 (waiting for mr. postman) that problem will be solved..
Then when the Nas working, up comes another thing. Short story. I´ve recently purchased a new router (Netgear r6300) and a wifi ac bridge (Linksys wumc710) When hooking up the Readynas to the r6300 via the wumc710 I only get transfer rates at max 8MB/s. That´s not very impressive, and even with the bridge located within 10 feet of the router. What am I doing wrong? I´ve set the MTU on the Readynas and the r6300 to 1500.
I know this is a bit off topic, but still involving equipment, and hoping someone would have a solution for this??
