Readynas Ultra 6 OS6 FW6.4.2 - voltage in enclosure Internal is out of spec

Since last month, I've been getting the following warnings quite regularly:

System: V1_2 voltage in enclosure Internal is out of spec. (0.98 V)

This was happening on 6.4.1, and is still happening on 6.4.2.

Prior to 6.4.1, I haven't seen this error before. I did a disk scrub the day before the error started occurring, but I don't see how this is related.

Do I need to worry about this?

Hello bvanaerde,

Is this every reboot?

It may have something to do with the sensor or PC board short. But since you are running on OS6 on a legacy unit, it is best you back up the data then factory reset. If you get the same error then reload the OS4.

If same problem with OS4, then contact support for the warranty.

Regards,

Thanks for the info. It is happening daily, whether I reboot or not.

I'd rather not do a factory reset, as it'll be a lot of work just to test this. But I understand that this is because I'm running it on a legacy unit.

I was hoping it was a false alarm since v6.4.1, as I found something similar on this page:

You can do the reset/OS 4 reversion on a scratch disk (removing and labeling your current disks).

You'd still need a second reset to go forward to OS6 - again that can be done with the scratch disk,

Thanks for the suggestion, using a scratch disk seems like the way to go.
I will update the thread as soon as it's done.
