Upgrade to 6.7.3 failed
Hi,
I was on ReadyNAS 6.7.1 and I tried to upgrade today to 6.7.3 and the upgrade failed and now I am stuck.
Any idea's? I managed to get all the log files off the device (I have a ReadyNAS 526X) and the ReadyNAS LCD just says "Retry Startup" which I have tried several times.
Thank you

Re: Upgrade to 6.7.3 failed
If you want to check the logs since the last boot, look at systemd-journal.log and search for the last instance of "jenkins@blocks". Search for clues from there.
You may also check in initrd.log if there is any error related to the firmware update.

Re: Upgrade to 6.7.3 failed
Nah, leafp2p is related to the Cloud services. So that's not your issue.

Re: Upgrade to 6.7.3 failed
ok thanks, Is it possible to use the USB Recovery Tool on the RN 526X ? There is no backup button so would I keep the reset button held in on the back after inserting the USB?
Thanks

Re: Upgrade to 6.7.3 failed
If you can get to the point to download the logs, USB Boot Recovery is not the right step.

Re: Upgrade to 6.7.3 failed
The system and settings are stored on the HDDs.
The Flash card contains an archive of the system and default settings.
When performing a Factory Default, the system and settings are extracted from the Flash to the HDDs.
When booting a NAS, the system and settings are read from the HDDs.
When performing an OS Reinstall, some system files and some settings are extracted from the Flash and overwrite the ones located on the HDDs.
When performing a USB Boot Recovery, the content of the USB stick overwrites the Flash.

Re: Upgrade to 6.7.3 failed
Hi there,
I tried updating from 6.7.2 to 6.7.3 today and it has killed my Readynas.
Now I have the error mount_block_root +1f1.
I have tried to do the usb recovery but it is not working.
Please I would really appreciate any help as I am panicking.

Re: Upgrade to 6.7.3 failed
Hi,
After looking at a lot of the log files, Is it possible to issue is related to the transmission app?
I have a lot of errors about it and also about upgrading the sqldb related to transmission.
Also, there are a lot of transmission segfault's.
Whats the best way to manually remove the app? Can I just delete the folder from the apps directory? For now I have tried removing the service reference from the config.xml in the hope it won't try and start it.
Thanks

Re: Upgrade to 6.7.3 failed
Please update to ReadyNAS OS 6.7.4 which is now available!
To do this you might need to do USB Boot Recovery.
If you have not yet upgraded please upgrade to 6.7.4 rather than 6.7.3. If your system has already been fixed I would still suggest updating to 6.7.4 the normal way using the web admin GUI.
