Windows 7 can't map Pro 4
While my NVX Pioneer running RAIDiator 4.2.20 can easily map Windows 7 drives My Pro 4 running RAIDiator 4.2.26 keeps giving the error message that the folder can't be created because "a device attached to the system is not functioning". When I attempt this I get to the login window and after the second attempt I get the error message. This happens on multiple Windows 7 computers. I've looked at Frontview for both NAS devices and can't see what I have set differently on the Pro 4. Macs are able to connect to both NAS devices. Does anyone have an idea of what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Windows 7 can't map Pro 4
My pro-6 is also running 4.2.26, but I am not seeing this issue with Win 7.
Are both NAS in the same workgroup?
Have you tried both the IP address and the name?

They weren't but I've now got them listed in the same workgroup but still getting the same error.

Have you tried rebooting your PC?

Yes. I've rebooted all of the PCs several times and had run the update to the NAS and rebooted it as well.
I'm considering resetting it to factory settings.

If you download your logs (Status > Logs > Download all logs), what does initrd.log look like?

Are the Macs connecting using AFP or CIFS?

Re: Windows 7 can't map Pro 4
Odd! I just tried using CIFS on one of the Macs (smb://xxx.xxx.xx.xx) and was able to mount the folder.

Re: Windows 7 can't map Pro 4
Is the Pro 4 newly set up, or did it work ok in the past?
Did you try setting anonymous access, and see if that helps?
Also, perhaps try resetting the owner/group/permissions on the "advanced option" tab.

I see this under advanced settings for shares but does this also follow through to mapping a drive to the home user folder?
\\ipaddress\username We don't really have shares set up as such on this NAS

No, that only applies to shares, not home shares.
Just to see, can you create a test share, and see if that works?

Re: Windows 7 can't map Pro 4
Sorry for the delay in replying. I tried creating a share and that isn't reachable by the Windows boxes either. Since my other ReadyNAS units don't have these problems and I can't see any differences in Frontview between them I think I'm going to do a factory reset as soon as I can move all the data to another drive.
