Anyone else having trouble with Iphones not connecting to EAX20 running the latest firmware 1.0.1.62_1.0.103?
At our site Iphone 11 pro max running iOS 14.7.1 will not connect to extended 2G or 5G on EAX20 AX1800. Iphone's error msg is incorrect password.
PCs and Android phones using same WiFi password connect without errors. This occurs on 2 EAX20 in different locations connected to different access points on Ubiquiti UniFi network.

Update and resolution.
At our marina, three EAX20 that extend a Ubiquiti Unifi network failed to allow iPhones and iPads to connect, starting around 2-Sep-21. The Apple devices report No Internet when selecting the EAX20's SSID. Other devices connect without issues.
Previously the same iPhones connected to EAX20 with firmware V V1.0.0.58_1.0.101 without issues. Rolling back the firmware from V1.0.1.62_1.0.103 to the previous version does not resolve the issue.
I suspect one or both of these causes
- Apple update(s) to their devices created the issue
- Factory reset and rollback of EAX firmware did not reproduce the configuration that previously worked
Replacing NetGear EAX20 with GL.INET's GL-AR750-Ext model Slate resolved the issue.

Did you setup the EAX20's using wps or using the installation assistant?

Re: iPhones will not connect to EAX20 AX1800
EAX20s set up using Installation Assistant (Chrome browser to 192.168.1.250 then mywifiext.local to finish configuration).
No problems with connection from EAX20 to local area network via 2G and 5G. No problems with iphones connecting to local area network via same access point as EAX20 is using. Same iphones will not connect to EAX20s.

Re: iPhones will not connect to EAX20 AX1800
EAX 20s using different SSID and password than external WiFi. EAX 20s using same password for extended 2G and 5G.

Re: iPhones will not connect to EAX20 AX1800
Thanks for the suggestion. On 2 iphones forgetting network and reconnecting produced the same results.
Does EAX20 have an internal log that might give a clue?
The site is a marina. Three boats use an EAX20 to repeat the dock's wifi in the cabin. One boat has no problem connecting iPhone while the other two do. I suspect the one that works has not upgraded firmware and is using EAX20-EAX18-V1.0.0.58_1.0.101. Next step is to roll back firmware as a test.

Yes,only Iphones fail to connect. Everything else works: computers, androids, TV's, Firesticks.

Re: iPhones will not connect to EAX20 AX1800
Additional troubleshooting steps that failed to allow iphones to connect to the range extender
- Roll back firmware to EAX20-EAX18-V1.0.0.58_1.0.101
- Update firmware to EAX20-EAX18-V1.0.1.62_1.0.103
- Reset range extender
- Disable One WiFi name
- Disable Smart Connect
- Disable WiFi 6
- Change SSID to lowercase
- Confirm number of clients is fewer than 32
There are reports of similar symptoms on NetGear routers, though not on EAX20.
