I've been having a strange almost non-issue with my router, my internet connection is fine, IPV6 tests show it's all good, but the router's home page says there is no internet. Logs show it's connected, I've attempted a full reset, a new ethernet cable between it and the modem, adjusting DNS including setting to ISP, disabling and setting IPV6 to auto, updating firmware (it still updated over the internet with this error), and I've rebooted and tested after each one. The test on the internet page always leads to a Netgear page that opens properly assuming pop ups are on, but the home page says the same exact thing. Attached screenshot shows my issue and firmware version.Netgear AC1750 WiFi router
Wi-Fi router (model R6400) is successfully set up. I have been using NightHawk App for the past year. Recently, after a network connectivity issue, I can no longer access this App. During the Admin login step, I get an error message that the process has ‘timed out’. I have tried restarting my router many times. I need to access the router settings to determine if a device is having access blocked and to determine which band the device is trying to connect to. How do I find this information if the NightHawk App isn’t available?R6260 Bridge Mode Woes
I am trying to use a Netgear AC-1600 R6260 to provide an ethernet port in a room which is only accessible by wifi. I am trying to join a wireless network provided by my ISP's EXOS fibre to wifi-6 router. I had not used the R6260 in four years and initially had problems resetting it to gain access to the admin web manager. The R6260 was unresponsive to it's mechanical pinhole reset and a tftp reset. I have only been able to reset using nmrpflash which I have done several times during the process of trying to get bridge mode to work. Initially, I tried setting up in bridge mode with only a computer connected directly to the R6260's lan port. There was nothing connected to the WAN port. This was unsuccessful and led to it being hung and my having to use nmrpflash. If I connect the WAN port to my ISPs router the R6260 appears to come up properly as a router or access point. However, when connected to the WAN the router really wants to insist on one trying the Nighthawk app which appears to not provide any capability for managing advanced features. Also, the web manager form seems to have a hard time staying on the advanced tab. It frequently and repeatedly with no input from me reverts to the basic tab. In any event here are some screenshots of what I am seeing. Note I have tried this both without and with a connection to the R6260's WAN port. I am clicking on "Setup Bridge Mode Wireless Settings" which provides a popup where I specify the SSID of the wifi network to join and the password. This never results in the IP address boxes being populated. Nor does it join the network when I look at the admin page of the EXOS router. Also, note as a test I've purposely provided a bad password in the popup dialog and the R6260 does not generate an error message indicating the password is wrong. I have also tried this with the wireless networks of the R6260 both on and off. I'm not sure how this should be set. I only want a 5ghz connection so I am thinking I should have the 2.4ghz radio off. In any event I would appreciate any insights into what I have been doing wrong in trying to get my R6260 to join an existing WIFI network and provide an ethernet port in a room which is only accessible via wifi.Router won't connect to Arris Surfboard
My router is only providing internet to the computer it's hooked up to with a coaxial cable. It's attached via ethernet to an Arris Surfboard SB 6141. Back story- I fell behind on my payments to Xfinity and they turned off my internet. I paid off what I owed and they're saying I have internet again and everything looks good on their side.WNDR3400V3 is not providing wifif

I purchased this router (R6400v2) back in 2021 when I had Spectrum's 500mbps plan, it worked great the entire time. Fast forward to April of this year, I moved into a new house and decided to upgrade to the 1gig plan. I was told that my router is not compatible with this plan offered by Spectrum, but I'm not sure how much I trust that this fairly new router capable of gig speeds isn't compatible. Am I just coping and in denial and this router will actually never work, or does anyone know any secrets on how I could make it work? I'm tired of the standard router issued by Spectrum. Next to no customization and it has a weak signal that doesn't reach my entire house. I figured I'd rather ask on here before going and shilling more money for a "supported device." ThanksSolvedWhy does my WNDR3700v3 Internet Light stays amber even though confirmed Internet Connected ?
As per WNDR3700 Manual the Internet Light definitions are Solid Green : An IP address has been received; ready to transmit data. Solid Amber : The Ethernet cable connection to the modem has been detected Off : No Ethernet cable is connected to the modem. In my case for my WNDR3700v3 (setup in AP mode) the Internet light is amber and blinks (which seems to indicate activity). I have confirmed that internet connectivity is established and the there is an IP address allocated and router seem to work ok, even though with some reduced wireless throughput for UL/DL (5G ~250/250 & 2.4G ~ 40/70 Mbps) Hence I was troubleshooting to see potential cause and noticed the "Amber" Internet Light So why does the Internet LED not turn green ? Aware that for LAN LED the color represents applied speed 10/100 Mbps (Amber) or 1 Gbps (green) Though not sure if that applies for Internet LED as well Input appreciated Thanks in advanceR6230 Intermittent / Failing Internet Connection
I have a Netgear ac1200 model R6230 router and, starting last night, I was not able to successfully gain a consistent internet connection through the router. I had no prior issues since upgrading the firmware a year ago (Version 1.1.0.114). When I power cycle the router/modem, I can get an internet connection however it eventually fails, usually after about a minute. The router is connected to a cable modem -- Spectrum internet service. I am able to connect to the internet with a device directly wire connected to the cable modem. This connection is strong and stable. When I route through the router, either wirelessly or via ethernet, it fails.1.1KViews0likes6CommentsNetgear R6400 Slow Wired Speed Issues
Good afternoon folks, I'm new to the forums and new to home networking in general. I tried searching the forums and online for solutions but I got mixed results and I'm not sure how to proceed forward. Problem: I'm not getting the advertised speed from my ISP while using my router. Conducting a speed test, I only get a maximum of 95 Mbps upload and download. Connecting directly to my Modem, I get the full advertised speed both for my Laptop and PC. I have tried doing a factory reset on the Router and then updating its firmware to the latest version but it still shows 95 Mbps up and down. I made sure in the Nighthawk App that Traffic Meter is turned off. I logged into my Router and went into Advance Settings and made sure that Upstream and Downstream QoS in turned off/unchecked. ISP Plan: Symmetrical internet 600/600 Mbps Modem: Nokia ONT XS-010X-Q Router: R6400 Router Firmware: V1.0.1.78_1.0.50 Thank you! Note: All test were performed using a WIRED connection unless stated otherwise.
