R8000 V1.0.5.88 released?
I have been having connectivity issues with my R8000 as of late (~2 weeks) and finally came looking today for solutions. To my great surprise (and skepticism) there is a new V1.0.5.88 firmware available as of today?!? My incredulity stems partly from the large version bump (1.0.4.88->1.0.5.88) when the release notes state that the release only "addresses security vulnerabilities". I can find no mention of which security vulnerabilities this addresses on the advisory page . Additionally, aren't security patches typically relegated to W in the X.Y.Z.W version ID? All this compounds when considering this device is EOL for some time now... At any rate, curious to hear any more about this mysterious release and to hear if anyone else has tried it out. I have this router now for some years, never had issues. Yesterday I tried to add a wireless door lock. Went to LAN Setup to reserve an IP address for my DHCP server. Once I entered the device, I receive this error message from the router: "Invalid MAC address". Reset router, tried latest and an older firmware version. Same problem. Any ideas? Tried with older and latest firmware: Older Firmware: 1.2.0.22_1.0.78 Newest Firmware: 1.3.3.154_10.1.86 With both I have the same issue. Hello I have Nighthawk R7000 running firmware V1.0.11.136_10.2.120 and I was wanting to run a vpn. I followed the instructions about how to turn on the vpn service and installing openvpn. When I try to run openvpn I get this error in the log: 2023-11-10 14:19:55 us=703000 MANAGEMENT: Client disconnected 2023-11-10 14:19:55 us=703000 Cannot load certificate file client.crt 2023-11-10 14:19:55 us=703000 Exiting due to fatal error Now searching here I found that this was a previous issue that was fixed in version 1.0.9.30 but that was back in 2018. Is there any solution now for the latest firmware? thanksNighthawk X4S R7800 keeps factory reseting
When I restart my router or it restarts itself it factory resets itself, it started about 4 days ago. 2 days ago I download the last update for it and reupdated it when it reset itself, it seemed to have worked but about 10 minutes ago my internet went out and when it came back I saw it reset itself again. So I downloaded the firewere from a few updates ago and added it to my router to see if it will stop resetting itself. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please let me know because I'm getting tired of having to reapply all my setting, I tried to upload my saved settings file to it but it won't turn anything back on
