Hi, I have an issue with my NETGEAR R8000 AC3200 Nighthawk X6 router. I was working fine with default firmware V1.0.3.4_1.1.2. Couple of months ago I installed the latest firmware V1.0.4.88_10.1.88_hotfix. It was working fine until yesterday. Now I have following issues. Router stays on (All lights are on as normal but not blinking) but can't connect from any wired or wireless device. Simply wired PC to router also shows no network. Router randomly restarts every few seconds or hours. I keep the router in an open area. So it has good ventilation. I feel the issue arise when router is in load like downloading a large files over the internet. Please help me to fix the issue. Thank you.Solved1.6KViews0likes10CommentsR6700v3 went to reset now makes weird noise and lights aren’t on

Hi, my router has 4 years and since some time already, the internet goes off and disappears from the WiFi list of available networks on Apple. I reset quite often the fiber, modem, router boxes. Problem remains. ATT has this security free service (firewall?!?!) turned ON, could it be the problem? Should I switch it OFF? I believe I had donde that too and no big difference on R8000P going OFF and ON, irresponsiveness. Thank you966Views0likes3CommentsLAN Setup: MAC address not accepted by AC2300 R7000p Nighthawk
I have this router now for some years, never had issues. Yesterday I tried to add a wireless door lock. Went to LAN Setup to reserve an IP address for my DHCP server. Once I entered the device, I receive this error message from the router: "Invalid MAC address". Reset router, tried latest and an older firmware version. Same problem. Any ideas? Tried with older and latest firmware: Older Firmware: 1.2.0.22_1.0.78 Newest Firmware: 1.3.3.154_10.1.86 With both I have the same issue. Hello I have Nighthawk R7000 running firmware V1.0.11.136_10.2.120 and I was wanting to run a vpn. I followed the instructions about how to turn on the vpn service and installing openvpn. When I try to run openvpn I get this error in the log: 2023-11-10 14:19:55 us=703000 MANAGEMENT: Client disconnected 2023-11-10 14:19:55 us=703000 Cannot load certificate file client.crt 2023-11-10 14:19:55 us=703000 Exiting due to fatal error Now searching here I found that this was a previous issue that was fixed in version 1.0.9.30 but that was back in 2018. Is there any solution now for the latest firmware? thanks8.3KViews0likes19CommentsNighthawk X6S—AC4000 R8000P Logging
I have a question about the logging capabilities of the X6S—AC4000 R8000P router. According to this article https://kb.netgear.com/24224/How-do-I-view-the-activity-logs-of-my-Nighthawk-router# this router should log network traffic. The article states it applies to the r8000 series routers. However, I am not seeing those logs appear in my logs. I pretty much only see generic internal logs. I believe i am on the current firmware. Does this router simply not support network traffic logging or is there a way for me to enable this that i cannot seem to find? Hi all, I just made this account so that I could post an issue and it's fix. I have the Nighthawk X4 AC2350 (R7500v2) and for a while now the media hard drive I have connected via USB using ReadySHARE just vanishes from the media server list all my home devices (TV, Xbox, Playstation, Phone etc...) about 5 to 15 minutes after setting it up or rebooting to get it to work. So basically I connect a hard drive, set it all up via ReadySHARE and it's there, visible on all devices for a VERY short amount of time. Then it vanishes, I can't find it on any device. I can however connect to the shared folders on it with my PC. It's had me stumped for ages. So much so I had just completely stopped using it for the last year. But I got a new hard drive and wanted to start using it again so I spent a long while trying to figure it out. I checked a lot of pages on here and noticed a lot of people had a similar, if not the exact same issue. After a lot of messing around I found a fix that seems to be working perfectly. I downgraded my firmware back to R7500v2 v1.0.3.40 (from 2019) and amazingly this fixed the issue. ReadySHARE is working perfectly again, So somewhere along the way Netgear basically broke it via one of the firmware updates (the latest version being: R7500v2 v1.0.3.50 Hot Fix). So this is a PSA; if you have this issue, downgrade your firmware to an earlier version from here: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/r7500v2#download (again R7500v2 v1.0.3.40 being the version that worked for me). If you have a different router and have this issue it might be an idea to try find an earlier firmware for your router too, something from around 2019. If anyone from Netgear reads this please FIX THIS ISSUE IN A NEW FIRMWARE UPDATE! Hope this helps someone. Cheers! 🤘2.9KViews0likes9CommentsNetgear Nighthawk dropping 5G wifi connection - Fixed when restarted
Hi I was just wondering whether anyone else has experienced similar issues. I have my 5Ghz wifi connection connected to my desktop and recently noticed that it sometimes drops out. The 2.4ghz is still up (although high ping). After i restart the router, everything is fine and the wifi is working perfectly. Is this a common issue and if so, how can I fix?1.8KViews0likes2Comments
