AC3000 RBK50 DSL compatible?

Just purchased this from Verizon.  We have Verizon DSL. They say this is only compatible with FIOS. Before I open or return it are they correct or can I use it with our DSL?

    I have DSL through Earthlink.  I use my RBK50 system with it without issue.  I'm quite sure it will work with Verizon DSL or FiOS, as well.

    You still need a DSL modem that connects to the orbi system in order for it to work.
