The Arlo Go2 camera needs a phone with the Arlo app connected to 2.4GHz. The RBK53 won’t let me choose the network, and the phone always connects to 5GHz. I’m not sure if there’s a way to temporarily disable 5GHz to force the phone onto 2.4GHz for setup. I tried the setup in the Arlo app, but the camera doesn’t chime when scanning the QR code, so I can’t complete the process. The camera worked before, but after the battery ran out and I charged it with a cable, it disappeared from the Arlo app and I’m trying to bring it back. I already have two other Arlo Go2 cameras working fine. Any help on forcing my phone to connect to 2.4GHz would likely let me finish the setup.Does Orbi 54 RBR50 as access point need to be on a wired LAN?
I have 2 Orbi 54 routers and am trying to set up the second one as an Access Point. I already have 2 satellites but I had to move one to be closer to a 4K tv to get good Internet. I followed the instructions (https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point) and set it up for a dynamic IP but when I did, the second router did not give me an option to connect to the router. I tried sync buttons but it didn't work. Does it need to be hard wired to connect as an AP? I really need it wirelessly to get it down a long hall. I also can't log in directly to it via Ethernet because it keeps saying the IP is self assigned and it says Router and DNS server, but gives no IP address to connect to in a browser. Maybe this setup is not possible?SolvedTwo RBR10 bases in AP mode?
I have an RBR10 AC1200 Orbi base unit in AP mode and two RBS10 satellites. These do a great job covering the office wing of our church. This WiFi network can be accessed, but is faint in the sanctuary half of the church. I’d like to extend the mesh to include the entire complex. There is no LAN connection available in the middle of the complex - only in either wing. I don’t want to daisy-chain satellites over WiFi from the offices to the sanctuary - I’m afraid that would hurt throughput. Can I create another AP from the ethernet LAN in the sanctuary wing and “connect” it to the existing mesh? I don’t believe the RBS10 satellite has an ethernet LAN connector, so couldn’t use another of these as my 2nd AP. Could I take a second RBR10 base, configure it as an AP like the one in the office wing? The two base APs can chat via wired LAN. But would would they play nice and create a cooperative single wide mesh? Note - neither base is working as router, or DHCP host. Just working as AP node.SolvedOrbi RBR50
Sorry if I have selected the "wrong" board, or .... I have the "old" Orbi and a satellite, and I have no problem with them for streaming, Internet, and the like. What I would appreciate information about, though, is suggestions/comments on establishing a Home-only network for security cameras. I do not wish their "signal" to reach the Internet, and so on. I would like routers with the absolute widest range, because I need to mount some cameras on a couple of buildings other than the house. Wired cameras are not a reasonable alternative for what I need. Besides suggestions on the best routers, I would appreciate any information about what wireless cameras to use or to not use. The other buildings are fairly close to the house 20-50 feet, at most. Hopefully, I can get routers (I presume I will surely need more than one) which I can keep in the house and will connect to multi-camera central system. Again, I will appreciate any/all comments and suggestions. Many thanks.Cannot sink RBS50 satellite via Ethernet backhaul
Hi, I factory reset the satellite, then synced it wirelessly placing it next to the router. It synced perfectly and they are now both on the same firmware. I now take the router to the remote location connect the Ethernet cable and turn it on. (No switches between the router and satellite). It does not connect via Ethernet, it still connects wirelessly. The Ethernet cable is good; it was working perfectly with another RBS50 that dyed. Please help. What is the proper way to setup this connection via Ethernet backhaul?RBR50 Daisy Chaining with satellites
Will a RBS50 Daisy chain automatically with another satellite or is there something I need to set on the router to make it do that. Right now the mobile app network config shows all three satellites connected to the router with the third (farthest away) with a weak signal.RBR50: Setup with Verizon G3100 router
I had my Orbi RBR50 with 1 satellite setup with the Verizon G3100 router. A power outage in my home caused a wifi connection problem and now I can't get the RBR50 to work. Because it stopped working, I obtained and setup Verizon's wifi extender model E3200 that is compatible with the G3100 router. Unfortunately, it doesn't work as well as the RBR50. I don't want to use the extender, so I need help re-setting up the RBR50. OS Windows 10 home. I don't know how to determine the firmware.Adding 2nd wired RBS50v2 to RBR50/RBS50 results in new Satellite with "Config Sync"
I am trying to connect a 2nd satellite (RBS50v2) to a currently wired RBR50 / RBS50 setup. All 3 have the same version (v2.7.4.24). I manually reset the Satellite. I reloaded v2.7.4.24 over the same version. I am currently directly wiring the new satellite directly in to the router. (I have tried multiple cables.) The Backhaul Status is "Config Sync" and the the Firmware Update can't see the version of the new satellite. The long term plan is to wire this satellite in the basement. Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks!RBS50v2: the blue ring is lit but the app says the router can’t find the satellite
I am adding a satellite to my RBR50 network but it will not sync. I’ve walked through the setup on the Orbi app - The blue ring is lit but the app says the router can’t find the satellite. The blue ring has remained lit for 10 minutes now. Any ideas??Netgear Orbi Voice RBS40V I can't Set up with a router that is not an Orbi
My Netgear Orbi Voice RBS40V cannot be configured as an Extender following the guide to configure my Orbi voice as an extender when I don't have an Orbi router: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBS40V-200/RBS40V-200_QSG_EN.pdf?_ga=2.77862166.32177553.1690885087-2033231847.1669722877 I have downloaded the app, I have reset the device in factory mode (also has the latest Firmware) and in the part where it says: "Locate and connect to the Orbi Voice WiFi network called NETGEAR_EXT" well it does not show, instead I see the the SSID ORBI44 configuration itself is called ORBI4 which obviously matches with the factory default SSID sticker that I can see below my OrbiVoice but even though I connect to that SSID, the app by default only searches for network NETGEAR_EXT, which is why it doesn't let me configure it at all. Has anyone had the same case and been able to solve it? or Does anyone know how to configure it with a non-Netgear router? Thanks in advanceSolved
