When I connect a Sony Wi-Fi router(NSD-G1000T) to Port 1 of a GS308 series switch, it receives an IP address from the DHCP server and functions as a switch for the first 3-5 seconds. My PC connected to Port 2 of the switch can send/receive ping both the switch and the Wi-Fi router. However, after the first 3-5 seconds passed, the Wi-Fi router then disconnects from the switch. After the disconnection, my PC can ping only the switch. The Wi-Fi router is missing form PC side. [Connection Map: Not work] Sony Wi-Fi router with DHCP Server <-- Port 1--> GS308 Switch <-- Port 2 --> PC But if I replace the GS308 switch with GS108E, it works well. I have multiple GS308 and GS108E, I retry and test this by each device but the result was same. It is not individual device issue, it seems to have some compatibility issue. [Connection Map: Work] Sony Wi-Fi router with DHCP Server <-- Port 1--> GS108E Switch <-- Port 2 --> PC The GS308 seems to have some compatibility issues with Sony Wi-Fi routers. If I could solve the problem by turning off some function of the GS308, I would be grateful. I would appreciate some advice from anyone who has had a similar experience and has a solution.Solved88Views0likes10CommentsEngage Onboarding Issue
We have 15 M4250 switches running our AV network. Recently, we realized two of those switches were assigned the same IP. Because of this, only one of the devices was showing on the Engage Dashboard. We did a hard reset on one of the switches (the one that was showing) so that we could assign it a new IP. Now the one switch that I reset will not show in Engage. I went through the Main UI to assign it a new IP address and when entering that IP into "Add Device" on Engage, I'm met with the message that the "device is already onboarded". How can I clear it from onboarding so I can set it up as a new device? Or at the very least, get it to show in Engage?88Views0likes4CommentsNo internet after switch is plugged in
I have a GS305v3 unmanaged switch that I just bought and attempted to use. It is connected to my internet via cat6 cable that I ran from my office in my house where my router/modem is located, to my bedroom. When I connect any device to the ethernet port that I put in the bedroom, I have no issues connecting to the internet. But if I plug the switch into the port, then any device to the switch, no internet is passing through. All lights on the switch illuminate as they should according to the manual, but I can't seem to find any info as to what the problem possibly is. For a clear picture of how all the hardware is set up: Fiber internet direct to router/modem in office Cat6 cable to ethernet port in office Cat6 cable from office ethernet port to bedroom ethernet port through the attic Any device connected directly to ethernet port in bedroom works perfectly with 1000mbps+ download Switch plugged direct to ethernet port, devices plugged into switch, no internet to any devices Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance to anyone who offers advice.161Views0likes17CommentsGSM4328S spuriously after powering up, shows power led amber on, and stucks
M4300 (GSM4328S) spuriously after powering up, shows power led amber on, and stucks. Need to disconnect and connect again power supply, and then works. I don't know if someone is experiencing this issue. Maybe is a hardware issue. We are using lots of those switches for several different projects in our company, and we are experiencing in the last purchased units (more than 20) this upsetting issue. We don't know how we can diagnose the problem. Anyone could help us?38Views0likes1CommentSRR60 router red led
From one day to the other my SRR60 router(used as a AP) doesn't work anymore. The led is white pulsing and the power led is green. I tried an factory default but nothing happens when pushing the reset button a while where it should be flashing amber after a couple of seconds. So i tried the 30-30-30 second method. That works but results in only a red led flashing 4 times and becomes green again. Still no results in the browser for 192.168.1.1 and also no ping. Last thing i tried is holding reset button while power on the srr60 until the led flashes red. At that time i have a ping on 192.168.1.1 and i could install the firmware again because i was thinking the FW became corrupt some how . Unfortunately after that no ping and no webpage anymore. The power led is green and the status led is pulsing white. Is there someone with a good idea? Or do i get rid of my srr60 and 3 srs60 Thanks in advance rgds, PaulSwitch GS752TPP rules ACLs creation problem
Hello, I'm having trouble assigning an ACL rule to the switch ports and I can't figure out what's missing in the configuration I'm trying to set up. The switch primarily serves an office (the switch is connected to the main one via a truck on two ports) where I have the same VLAN 20 on 45 ports. For that VLAN, I created an IP ACL with 11 sequences. My intention is to apply it to the ports with that VLAN, so in the "IP Binding Configuration" section, I selected ACL ID and started checking the relevant ports, but I can't get past 29 ports out of the 45 I should theoretically reach. How can I resolve this and configure it correctly so that the rules are applied to all ports affected by VLAN 20? I'm probably using the wrong approach. Can someone clarify? Thank you.
