WAX610 Ceiling Install
I DO see how to ceiling mount the ceiling base plate provided for this install...
I do NOT see is where to drill the 2 anchor holes RELATIVE TO the PoE cable ceiling penetration point. Perhaps, a paper template would help. I just don't want the PoE cable to be visible after i slide/snap the WAX610 into place on the ceiling.

You'll need to put the mount place close to the opening were the ethernet port is enough to cover where the cabling is or exits from the wall or cieling area. All that is up to you.
You can see where the port is on the unit and you'll need to place it and the mounting plate near the cable exit postion your wanting to put the unit at.

I would make it so it's fairly easy to connect or disconnect the LAN cable to the unit when needed.
Good Luck.

Somewhere to the side of the "snap" latch one might guess ... slide the mounting bracket on the WAX610, and you will see where around the LAN port is.

Well, don't know if this will help anyone else, but i took the leap.
First, drilled the ceiling hole and snaked the Cat5 cable, affixed the RJ.
I dremeled off the rail mounting protusions on the base plate (the one with the 2 screw holes) to make it mount flush to the ceiling.
Aligned the screw holes so that when the AP snap latched into place, the RF was located 1/2" away from the Enet connection.
If i had thought about it more, i would have used a white cable to match the ceiling. Instead i touched up the black cable with nail polish. I'm glad i used the base plate and not mount it flush to ceiling because the heat generated by the AP used the ventilation.
This pic shows the cable view before i patched up the hole and recolored the cable.
I would recommend NetGear create a paper template showing the AP, base plate and cable ceiling penetration point. So just tape it in place and make this fool proof.

Well, I took the plunge and just mounted it.
I had to Dremel off the rail plastic from the mounting bracket shown in the drawing with red arrows. This allowed for flush mounting of the bracket to the ceiling. Otherwise, these plastic protrusions make the installation unstable and "rocky".
I also did feel it necessary to use the mounting bracket rather than direct mounting the AP to the ceiling for 2 reasons: ventilation and less stress on the 90 degree cable turn connection.
It took some guess work to figure where on the ceiling to screw the mounting bracket RELATIVE to the cat6 cable's appearance because the AP snaps into place AFTER the bracket is affixed and AFTER the cat6 cable is brought down through the ceiling. Again, i recommend that NG provides a paper template to avoid the guess work.
And i don't understand why railing lastic is provided on both of the provided mounting brackets. Perhaps a different bracket design just for flush mounting?
To me, it looks ok. I used a standard round black cat 6 and nail polish to match the white ceiling. If i had to do it over again, I'd suggest a "flat" cat 6 so it could make make a more graceful 90 degree turn into the AP. Also, get a cable color that approximates the ceiling paint color.
I hope that this might help others in the future.
