RBR50 Daisy Chaining with satellites

Will a RBS50 Daisy chain automatically with another satellite or is there something I need to set on the router to make it do that.  Right now the mobile app network config shows all three satellites connected to the router with the third (farthest away) with a weak signal.

  • Yes, under  Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings there is a Daisy Chain enable box there. Daisy Chain Boot up. RBR first, Closest RBS to the RBR, then farthest RBS lastly. Turn off RBS then back on with closest RBS. Give 5 minutes before turning on remote or farther RBS, and so on.

o.k.  I checked and Daisy chain mode is enabled but all three satellites show connecting directly to Router (according to the Mobile Orbi android app) with the farthest showing a weak connection.  On the android mobile app the connection type shows as 5G but shows up on the enclosed chart as 2.4G.  Almost all the devices I want to connect to this router/satellites are 2.4G devices but apparently there is no way to force this channel selection.  Also, why doesn't the weak satellite connect to the closest other satellite if Daisy chaining is enabled?  Do I need to go through some new startup sequence to make it link properly?

Enclosed is a copy of the Attached devices as it relates to the Connected Satellites.  Shop is the satellite that is farthest from the router and as you can see the back haul status is poor.  Garage and house satellites work fine in the direct connection mode to the router.  I connected the shop satellite directly to the router with a lan cable to start with and then went wireless, but I notice that a unique network password listed on the bottom of this particular satellite .  What is that for?

Installed the shop router to extend Wyze camera coverage to front gate and eliminate the current deployed but expensive Apollo solution.  We have several other Wyze cameras deployed around the rest of the property and we love how cost and effective they are.
