Yes, the RBR50 router has a gigabit Ethernet port and will connect to a gigabit ISP service. Because there is overhead (even with Ethernet), it is impossible to realize the full gigabit of bandwidth.
Most users report more then 920Mbps.
The RBR50 is WiFi5 (802.11ac). The highest speed most mobile devices can realize is about 800Mbps.
Yes, the RBR50 is totally compatible with Cat5e and Cat6 Ethernet cable.

For a lot of users, it is simply "plug in and go". Configure the new system with exactly the same WiFi credentials as the RBR50 (SSID/password).
There is a Community Forum dedicated to the WiFi7 product line (which includes the 770). Realizing that customers who experience zero issues are not likely to bother with joining a user forum, there is no way to determine what percentage of customers experience 'problems'. If you search the forum for the 770 product, there definitely have been "issues" for some customers.
