Add a wifi network to an existing modem

I am subletting from someone in anohter floor who already has a modem and internet access. Can I add an Orbi on their modem/routeur and create my own wifi in addition to whatever wifi network this person has (and not distrupt them)?

Yea if you can get a ethernet connection from there router you could run orbi in AP mode.
