Adding a MESH to Nighthawk C7800
Hi
I have the Nighthawk C7800 which was pworking great with my apartment with 940 MBPS, used primarily for streaming and ~50 connected devices.
Now I have moved to a 2800 sq feet home, which has ~150 connected devices (smart switches/blinds, hubs etc), and expectedly my coverage is dropping with devices. The speed isnt necessairily that slow while working or streaming though.
To note my connection is ethernet and not fiber
Plus the 2 points for cable that I have are 20 feet apart (I'm guessing not ideal), and are not located near any of my streaming devices and a re primarily used to attach hubs
I am contemplating either getting a completely new mesh system (the Orbi) , or adding Mesh points to my existing router.
I would hate wasting my 350+ router, but would do it if its recommended.
Thank you!

You can add EX7700 or EX8000 extenders to the C series gateway modem, or turn OFF the router and wifi portion of the modem and use it as a modem only and connect up a Orbi system, AC or AX.
30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

The descriptor on the extenders not 50 devices, and I have ~150 devices, so I guess that doesn't work, adn my only option is to go for the mesh
Will placing tmodem and satellite within 2o feet create interference?

Extenders would work as well to help with off loading your amount of wifi devices all connected to the modem.
