Adding a switch to RBR10

Question

Added a 7 port gigabit switch downstream of the RBR10 and not getting any connection through it to lan to wired home security system need some help suggestions&nbsp;Thanks

Try a NG branded GS108 or GS308 non managed switch.
Be sure LAN cabling is good. CAT6 is recommended.&nbsp;

Can you connect the security system to the RBR10 without the switch?
&nbsp;
Does anything else work when connected to the switch?
&nbsp;
There are three things involved there, router, switch and security system. Answers to these questions will help to pin down the problem.

security system connects when direct connected to RBR10 lan port, all other connections through switch work , need the extra lan connections as RBR was only 1 port&nbsp;Thanks

Tried several cables, all work with direct connect to RBR to security system&nbsp;Will give this a try.&nbsp;Thanks
