AT&T Wifi Calling
Hi - I have seen a number of threads on this topic and was hoping there was some resolution. We are an AT&T household and are users of the Wifi Calling feature. We have a single Orbi router, ...

What mode is the Verizon router configured for? Router or Bridge mode? IF in router mode, This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.

Thanks to everyone for their help trying to troubleshoot this. I have tried the suggestions and wanted to report back to the group.
In the end, I think setting the Orbi to AP Mode seems to have been the most help. I am still testing but I think the consistency of the WiFi calling has improved noticeably since doing that.
For others having this problem - I did not have my FIOS router in bridge mode. Its frustrating because when I first got the Orbi I read the advice that you should not have both routers active at the same time, but Netgear Tech Support walked me through the setup and said that it would be fine this way.
But as people on this thread diagnosed, that setup can cause problems. And in my case, since I had not bridged my router, having the Orbi in router mode alongside my FIOS router seems to have been causing some issue.
Since putting it into AP Mode I have noticed and improvement in quality. Thanks for all the help. Will report back if anything changes!

Yes, having two routers on line will cause problems. Glad AP mode seemed to have solved it.

Following up here to let the community know that unfortunately, the AP Mode did not solve this problem.
It seemed to get better for a little while, but then it went back to really poor Wifi experience. It seems like there is an issue where the device s jumping back and forth between 2.4 and 5, even though there are strong signals in the room from the satellite.
The result is unstable WIFI where it goes from working well to suddenly cutting out, and Wifi calling experience is really poor.

You might try loading new FW thats available:
Almost seems like there maybe a possible interference issue as well.

Thanks I will try this. Is it recommdned that I first update the firmware and then FACTORY RESET the Orbi?
Regarding interference - I dont know how to figure this out. When I sit with my Wifi Analyzer I dont see any issues or fluctuations in the signal strength of any of the networks. Something seems to be causing some bouncing between them, but when i monitor any single one of them, I am not seeing any realy movement in the signal strengths...wouldnt I see that if interference is the issue?
