Best orbi settings/Advanced settings as of 2019?
What would be the best Advanced Setting for this router RBK44 for fastest speeds! Also how often do they do firmware updates! I just hope this does not turn into a dead router like a lot of companies let happen! Please post some of the best and fastest tweeks I can do to improve faster speeds! Thank You!
What FW is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? Channelization may depend on how many neighbors are near if, if any.
What WPA security modes are you using? Set WPA2 and AES only.Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Daisy Chain if you only have 1 satellite or satellites are placed in star formation with the base router, IPv6 if your ISP doesn't support native IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. You can see the FW update history for your model here:
