Blue light has never come on

I have the Orbi router with one satellite and I had tech help with the initial setup. When I sync it the ring flashes white on both but the blue light never comes on with either one. It actually never did. The magenta light is off so I always assumed the connection was good. My devices say Orbi is connected but I don't seem to have the speed or coverage that other users say they have. My house is 1800 square feet. Any suggestions?  Thank you

    What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the Orbi is connected too? 

    Any other routers in the mix? 

    How is the Orbi configured? Router or AP mode? 

    Whats the distance between the router and satellite? 

    Try factory reset the Orbi router and set it up from scratch. Don't add or set up the satellite.
