Can’t connect to Minecraft

Help! I’m a technologically UNadvanced mom trying to help her kid get her Minecraft world back. We just got the Orbi system and she can no longer play Minecraft. When she opens the app and tries to log in to her account it tells her that it requires wi-fi. She’s playing on an iPad Pro, 3rd generation. She can connect to everything else she normally uses on wi-fi.

We also cannot get any of our wi-fi connected home light devices to work with the new router.

Since school is out for the next 6 weeks, it would be so awesome if she could access Minecraft and play with her friends. Same with her sister. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Do you have any other box between Orbi and the internet source? If yes what is the make and model of that box?

      We only have one device from Centurylink that's connected to the outdoor fiberoptic cable that runs to our house, and then the high speed wireless modem that's connected to the Orbi. The modem is a "technicolor" CenturyLink model number C2000T. I'm not sure what the device that's attached to the wall is.
