Cannot access server Readyshare on iMac
I bought the Orbi router this month. It works fine except I can't connect it as a server to the Mac, and therfore cannot use it with an USB HDD. I'm using iMac OS Sierra, and follow the recommended ...
I do not believe Orbi supports sharing USB HDDs. I believe it only supports printer sharing via the USB at this time.
If it accepts an HDD for time machine,(see kb.netgearsupport.com/21360)it must accept any HDD. but while trying to connect the server, I don't even get the pop up asking for a password for registered user and the connection fails.
I’m open to any good solution.

Until Netgear adds this feature the only solution is to put your HDD on another device attached to the network.
