Cannot get rbr50 to update firmware
Currently running 2.1.4.16 on the router and one satellite. Will not accept an update via the app, website or manually via Ethernet cable to any other firmware. I've read thru this forum and am out of ideas. Thank you for your time

are you trying to jump all the way to the latest?
If so, try the 2.2.1.210 and then the 2.2.1.212
From there you should be able to update

- Actually I'll try .210, have not done that. Did try .212, no luck, and one before that, again no luck.
212 is a "special" release. (See the Release Notes: https://kb.netgear.com/000060612/RBR50-RBS50-Firmware-Version-2-2-1-212 )
The original Orbi firmware assumed that it would never grow larger than a certain size and assumed that any attempt to load firmware larger than that was incorrect and would not load it. Release 212 had only one change: the limit was increased so that new (larger) firmware could be loaded. My (dim) memory is that Circle and Armor were so large that they pushed the size over the original limit.
So no firmware more recent than 212 will load until 212 has been loaded.
