Cannot play media recorded on DVR (Verizon FIOS)

I have a two unit setup. I have setup the RBR50 as the primary router. The Verizon G1100 acts as a bridge to the coax connected STBs. The two are connected via the LAN ports. When connect my Android phone via WiFi I can access my DVRs, but the movies never start. However, if I disconnect from WiFi the movies on the DVR play. Any ideas?

    Have you bridged the modem or have the orbi unit in AP mode?

      I use the Orbi in AP mode with the WiFi of the fios router off to good effect.

      The Fios router is bridged. Well at least I believe it is. When I'm not on my home wifi I can access the DVR movies successfully. The Orbi is in router mode.
