CBK 40 Modem/Router Setup Coax not fitting tight
Hi everyone, might be a weird problem. I had Xfinity installed in my new house a month ago. Modem/router combo I bought was not strong enough (barely any wifi upstairs) so I bought the CBK 40 ORbi Modem/router combo with 1 additional satellite. Attempted set up last night but wasn't getting connectivity. I think the issue is that my coax cable is not screwing finger tight on the new Orbi modem/router (it did screw finger tight on my old netgear C3700 router/modem). Is this the issue, or has anyone else had this problem? Figured all coax ports/cables were the same. Thanks

Do you have a different cable you could try? Cheap connectors sometimes have sketchy threads that make the connections poor.
Are you able to connect it at all?
If you get it connected, have you gotten it activated?

I unfortunately don't have another cable, but you're right. I think thats the problem. The coax cable attachment originating from by CBK 40 does seem to be slightly different from my C3700. When i try to thread the cable onto the CBK 40 I can easily pull it off, doesn't even seem to catch on the threads. I'll probably call xfinity and see what they recommend, not sure if I can just buy another cable at the store or if its a specific one they have to provide.

The cbk40 should be standard sized coax cable that you could buy at any store. The C3700 should as well but maybe the threads were stripped during an installation at some point.
