Connect external hard drive to Satellite LAN port

Can an external hard drive be connected to a Satellite’s LAN port to make the drive wirelessly available on WiFi network?

    Does the external drive support a LAN port? if so, I would presume it works. I would contact the mfr of the drive to check what is supported.
