Connecting CBR750 Router to RBS50-Y Range Extender
Orbi RBS50Y-2CCNAS Outdoor WiFi Range Extender will not connect to Orbi WiFi 6 Router with DOCSIS 3.1 Built-in Cable Modem (CBR750)

The Orbi RBS50Yv2 is designed to connect to any WiFi system (from any vendor) when placed in Extender mode.
See page 2 of the installation guide for instructions on how to place the unit in Extender mode.

The device is compatible with the original WiFi5 Orbi system in Satellite mode, which allows mobile devices to roam seamlessly between router and satellites.
An important note that took me a day to discover. CBR750 ONLY works at an extender with the RBS50-Y not as a mesh network.
Ugh. So much wasted time.
