Connecting Devices to RBK50
I have not had a pleasant experience with the RBK50. My question is: what is the proper procedure for connecting devices to the unit? My network is stable but I just tried plugging in a new device via ethernet on the satellite unit. Instantly, I lost internet connectivity. I removed the device and internet connectivity returned. Can I hot-swap devices or do I need to power everything down first? Or do I need to wait a few minutes for the router to stabilize before internet connectivity returns? What is the proper procedure?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Try connecting this device to the RBR to see if it works there.- tomar012Aspirant
Firmware: 2.5.2.4
Verizon FIOS is the ISP but I have Ethernet into the house so the ORBI is the priming router.
The satelllite and OBRI are connected via Ethernet.
I have a lot of devices and switches. The device I mentioned is a TiVo mini. When I connected that, things went wrong.
