connecting Orbi router RBR50 mesh network to new T-Mobil gateway
I need some help. I have set up a t-mobil home internet gateway (KVD21), switching from at&t. Now the question is how do I connect my Orbi (router RBR50) mesh network to the t-mobil gateway.

Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

I am confused. Previously we had attached the orbit router to the atandt router which then resulted in wifi throughout our home. Now are you saying that should not have been done? Sorry - I do not understand. Can't I just link the orb to the T-mobil like I had done the atandt one?

As you have changed your Internet service, your first move should be to reset the Orbi router.
As an experiment, you could reset the modem/router and the Orbi router. Then set the network up afresh. These days some routers can detect that you are trying to "break the rules" and will adapt to avoid the clashes that can come with two routers.
It might work. If not, go back to the message from FURRYe38 and follow the advice.

That's not what FURRYe38 is saying.
You have changed your Internet service. This usually means that you get a different modem to work on the new network. The new modem for your network, the KVD21, is a combined modem/router. That can cause problems, hence the advice you were given.
You don't say what your old atandt modem was. Maybe it just that, a modem without any router built in.
