Connections to orbi needing reconnecting when powered on

I have an Orbi related question. Whenever I use my TV to stream which is connected to Orbi network, every time it is powered on, in order to stream it needs to be reconnected to the internet. It saves the credentials, but is a tedious task. The same thing was happening on my PC, and I stopped the VPN from autostarting which seems to have solved the issue once, but haven't tested it enough to see if it is a lasting fix. My other networks such as PS4 do not need reconnection when powered on, only the TV and (maybe still) PC. I updated the WIFI's firmware a week ago without improvement.

The connection does not go in and out once connected, it is stable once connected and has no difficulty connecting manually, but the TV needs to be manually connected via the Network tab when using the TV each time, which becomes tedious. The TV is a Hisense Roku TV in case it matters.

My question is: is this the WIFI network or TV issue, and if WIFI, how can this be resolved. Thank you for your advice!

  • What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Possible TV issue. The TV or PC is supposed to save any security configurations including SSID name and PWs in a profile so when the same connection is used the user should have to re-enter any PW configurations or select the wifi SSID name.

Be sure the TVs FW is updated. Check with the TV mfr as well for help and informtation regarding this.
