Constant gaming disconnects ALL games. Half rated Cable speed

I am experiencing two major issues. 1st.  I pay for 1gig internet speed.  If I am connected hardwire directly to the modem I get the full 1gig.  When I am hardwired directly to the orbi router on the same PC I have maybe 500m if I'm lucky.  Additionally I have latency spikes on all internet access, from TV streaming, youtube, gaming etc.  Biggest issue is constant, random DC's from every single game I play online.  If I plugged directly into my modem I get perfect signal, no lag, and never disconnect from a single match.

I have tried opening ports on the Orbi as instructed by each individual game.  No luck, same issue.

HELP.  I'm at my wits end, support in the first 90 days couldn't figure it out.  I spent 599 dollars on this thing thinking it'd solve all our problems.  I don't even use the sat unit upstairs because than the WiFi goes hay wire and we constant drops from it.  Seems like a bunch of money wasted and a product I'll never reccomend to anyone.  Help change my mind.  What can I do?

      V2.3.5.30

Wave Internet: Modem ARRIS  Model TM3402A  (worth noting I'm on my 3rd router, first two cratered.  This is a completely different modem than the last two.  My issue persisted through all 3 modems, however I  have never had the disconnect or lag when hooked directly to any of these modems.

Checking on the other question now.

Third modem, not router this is my first orbi router.

Also Circle is off, I can't find armor anywhere in the interface so assume that means I don't have it or just can't find it.

  • Who is your ISP and what equipment did they provide?
What is the current firmware on your Orbi device?
What make/model device is your Orbi router connected to?
What size cable is connected from your modem to the Orbi router?

Disable Circle, Armor, Daisy Chaining, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and uncheck 20/40Mhz Coexistence.
    Enable WMM, Implicit BeamForming, Mu-MIMO
Set Short preamble mode. Save settings, reboot Orbi.
