Continuous White Flashing while satellite after firmware update
Flashing white Satellite after Firmware update
Firmware updated the satellites and rendered one of the saltellite non-functioning.
The satellite has been pulses white since the firmware upgrade and NOTHING that has been done makes the satellite be recognized by by the ORBI app or Orbilogin.
I have wasted 1.5 days talking to reps who want to charge me for something Netgear broke pushing out the new firware.
I have read similar posts, however, nothing I have tried is resolving my problem
and.. my model # is RBS20 and is not selectable.
CAN ANYONE HELP WITH GETTING THIS SATELLITE TO CONNECT AGAIN?
Video attached
Thanks

Yes, it is annoying that the Drop Down list of Netgear products is incomplete. Seems like such a trivial thing to manage. (sigh)
And, it sucks big time that Netgear provides only 90 days of "complimentary support" with purchase, and after that shunts customers off to GearHead. http://gearhead.netgear.com/ This is the ONLY Netgear authorized support group. People who pop up on Google searches are often NOT anybody you want to mess with.
Guessing that you have tried the "paperclip" Factory Reset.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMw4ePACgc4
and the "undocumented" reset procedure:
If the regular factory reset process doesn't work, @michaelkenward described an undocumented way to get an Orbi to factory reset:
Press paperclip in reset hole for 30 seconds
Keep pressing paperclip while removing power
Keep pressing paperclip for another 30 seconds while apply powerAbout the only alternative I know of is to download the firmware from the Netgear support site, then use the "Trivial File Transfer Protocol" (TFTP) method to flash the firmware to the satellite. It is a serious chore. (I have done it.)
