Device Manager not loading on app

In trying to use the device manager on the app, it pauses for a long time then provides the error:

Could not reach server. Try again later (code: CDIL-API-FAIL). I've checked to make sure the APP is updated, we've restarted the router. Any thoughts?

  • Are you referring to the Orbi app? If so, Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi App product. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi App and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

    Does anything else work in the app? Network diagram? Information about the router?

    What is sounds like is the smartphone not being connected to the Orbi WiFi.
