Disable 5ghz temporarily
I am trying to add Wemo smart plugs to Apple Home, and having trouble having them recognized. I think it is because my iPad is connected to 5Ghz channel, and the plugs use 2.4. I have found older art...

The RBR50 has an Advanced WiFi setting (bottom menu item) that allows the user to disable broadcast of the SSID for 5G) It is not clear if this feature works correctly.
I purchased a Wemo smart plug in 2019 and connected it to an RBR50. I do not remember having any problems with it. (but, alas, that was YEARS ago and my memory is not all that good).
Also, I do not use Apple Home. Have you tried connecting the plug to the Wemo 'app'?

I have 2 F7C063 I was having trouble with. I found the advanced wireless setup page, thanks. Turned off SSID broadcast and turned power down to 25% on the 5GHz channel. Then I moved away from the router, and confirmed that the phone was connected to 2.4GHz by looking at the Attached Devices page on the Orbi web interface. Factory reset on Wemo device, restart on Apple TV hub, and phone. Then, the addition of the Wemo device was successful.
I know about the upcoming stop support date, which is why I got an older Apple TV and am adding the devices to Home. We’ll see how stable this setup is.
