Do I need a satellite if I already have wireless APs?

I have a 2500 sq. ft. house spread over two floors. I have a Ruckus Unleashed Access Point System. My existing modem router feeds into this Ruckus Unleashed which then routes connection to several other smart home hubs (such as Leutron, Ring, Samsung etc.), wired cable outlet points in the walls and also two Access Points in the ceiling of both 1st floor and 2nd floor which helps evenly spread the wireless signals in my entire house.

I recently upgraded my internet speed to 1 gig and my current modem is not able to support the speed. I am interested in buying RBK752.

My question is should I buy RBK752 with the satellite or without the satellite? I am not sure if the satellite will be a redundant device given the fact that I have 2 access points on both the floors which covers internet speed pretty well.

Thanks

Vivek

If the goal is to accomodate higher WAN speed but not change the WiFi environment (Unleashed + Access Points), then there seems to be no point is purchasing part of a Netgear AX "mesh" system. (not actually a "mesh", but that's what the industry calls these things.) All this will do is add a separate WiFi system that will not integrate into the existing WiFi system and will not cover the entire building.  Devices will not "roam" from one WiFi system to the other.  Just get something like an Edgerouter that will take a gigabit WAN connection.

On the other hand, the Unleashed environment may not handle roaming the way an Orbi system does and probably has no WiFi6 capability.  Have no idea what the bandwidth of the Unleashed access points is (gigabit ethernet?)

Is there a newer Unleashed hub unit that handles higher WAN speed?

What actual modem do you have? The RBK752 isn't a modem. Do you mean router? or did you mean modem and confuse that the rbk752 doesn't have an integrated modem? Just trying to clarify .

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AX product. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi AX and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

    Thank you.
