I cannot speak to Fios, but in my case (orbi set as router and three satellites, one wired) Ethernet backhaul is still problematic. I have currently moved around satellites to avoid the need for wired backhaul, the problem is I now have a satellite that is connecting via daisy chain with a very weak signal.
