Firmware update installed not current on website

My Orbi app installed firmware update v 2.7.1.102 @ 0235 Christmas morning and Armor Security started sending audible alerts waking me up! Netgear website DOES NOT show 2.7.1.102 as CURRENT version! Current version shown is 2.7.1.60. What is going on Netgear???? Santa is NOT happy!

    Well like some others, not all Mfrs have free support. Most free support is for limited time after the unit is purchased and reg'd. 

     

    You can get free support here in the forums though. :smileyvery-happy:

    There is a very long series of posts about v 2.7.2.102.  It appear that Orbi's on 2.7.1.60 are being automatically updated to 2.7.2.102, whereas Orbi's on other versions are not being updated (to anything).

    Getting Armor to make annoying sounds only at certain times might be something that someone on the Armor community forum can answer: https://community.netgear.com/t5/NETGEAR-Armor/bd-p/en-home-armor

      Thank you! I like my Orbi, not too wild about Netgear and their confusing instructions and interfaces and lack of free support like other multi-billon dollar corporations.

      Thank you! I disabled the ‘sounds’ alert for the app. I should have done it from the get-go. I never imagined I’d be getting updates in the middle of the night, but, live and learn I guess!

    Are you located in the USA region? 

     

    What FW version is actually installed on the RBS and RBR? Use a web browser and PC to check this. 

     

    What FW version did you have loaded prior?

        You should be fine then. Just makes NG time to post FW files to the support site. Always happens like this.
