Genie not allowing parental control login due to no internet error

1. I have installed an Orbi RBR50 with one satellite

2. Everything is working well including the Genie app and Orbi app on an iPhone

3. I then want to set up parental controls though openDNS

4. I open up Genie -> Parental Control -> Sign in and Enable

5. Login -> Enter user name -> Enter password -> Login

 

Note that I had previously created an openDNS account through the Genie app and checked that it was successfully created through a web browser.

 

5. I then get an error message "Internet is not available. Connect your router to the internet"

 

The router and my iPhone is connected to the internet. It just appears the Genie app is not working. What is wrong?
