Help, Orbi internet port seems to be dead
My 9 month old Orbi RBK50 (router + 1 satellite) stopped working suddently. The wifi network is fine, but the Orbi will NOT connect to the internet. The status page on the router settings page is all "green" except for the internet connection status.
I have done the following:
1) Confirmed cable modem is delivering signal (Negear modem with Comcast cable internet) by running ethernet to laptop, which connects to internet just fine at high speeds.
2) Reset the modem and Orbi router multipe times. No change. Modem works, Orbi won't connect.
3) Did a factory reset on the Orbi. Started a new system Setup, but the setup stops at the step where you need to connect the modem ethernet cable to the Orbi port. No internet connection.
I don't know what else to try, other than bang the Orbi against the wall a few times. Any other suggestions?

Since there is no response to this issue yet, and I was able to solve it yesterday, I'll post the solution for future readers:
Somehow (no idea why) my modem lost the MAC address of the Orbi router and failed to recognize it. It re-learned the MAC address of my laptop network card. Note, this is a different MAC address than "My Computer" which is what one of the options in the router setup is. I needed to open a Command Window, and type "getmac" to list the MAC address of my network card.
I "spoofed" the MAC address of my network card in the router setup window, and it is now working smoothly again. This posting provides a good overview of the solution:
