How 2 switch device from 2.4g to 5g on Orbi rbr50

  • "Lag" is a very frustrating situation with internet gaming.  It might be worthwhile to learn the connection rate of this PC to the Orbi. The PC network connections may show it. The Orbi "app" defiinitely shows what they call the "Link Rate" for each device.

Of course, a wired connection with an ethernet cable will produce the fastest connection to the Orbi. Between the Orbi and the game host is sort of out of anyone's control.

  • In Wifi, it’s always the device and not the access point / router who decide which band to use. The device will always choose the best band based on set thresholds in the device.

Surely there is some reason for the question?
