How do I enable bridge mode after setting up an Orbi RBR50v2

I have setup my Orbi with an old Verizon DSL router/modem

After I setup the Orbi, I was no longer able to access the administrator page of my old router/modem, and I had forgot to enable bridge mode and disable wifi on the old router/modem. To enable bridge mode and disable wifi, i need to access the old administrator page. Are there any ways to access the administrator page of the router that the orbi is connected to?

  • Many users would temporarily unplug the Orbi from the old router and connect a wired computer (desktop, laptop) to the old router.  However you were able to log in before should work when connected directly.

I turned off the orbi, and tried to access the webpage again. However, I got the same error

I will add that i am using a DSL router/modem.

    • Disconnect Orbi from modem/router.
    • Reset modem/router.
    • Go into modem/router controls
    • Put it into modem/only mode
    • Set up Internet connection

Then go through the usual network set up process

Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

    • Turn off and unplug modem.
    • Turn off router and computers.
    • Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
    • Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
    • Turn on computers and rest of network.

My experience with modems is that it isn't easy to get at their controls when they are in front of a router. Fortunately it is something that you do rarely, if ever.
