How to separate 5 ghz 2.4 ghz on my Orbi RBR850 Router and 2 satellites?
Was informed that I need to separate the orbi network (due to cameras hooked up to the Internet). The cameras will only operate on the 2.4 ghz and was told to to separate the 5.0 ghz and the 2.4 ghz.
Can someone give me information as to how I can do this?
Thanks in advance.

This advice is incorrect. I have four different brands of "2.4G only" security cameras connected to my Orbi. All connected with absolutely no issues. Nearly every camera system I have seen is set up by having the camera smartphone app create a QR code that the camera can scan. This communicates the WiFi SSID and password to the camera and it connects.
Orbi does not support any method of assigning different names (SSID's) to the 2.4G and 5G WiFi. There was a "hack" several years ago that people used, and they were very upset when Netgear made the hack not work any more.
My advice is to proceed to set up the cameras and return to the forum if there is a problem.
The important information will be the brand and model of camera so that we can look at the user manual and installtion guide on the web.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AX (WiFi 6) products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi AX and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:
