How to turn off the 2.4GHz channel on the Orbi RBR50?

Question

In advanced settings I tried setting the 2.4GHz channel from "auto" to 1, CTS/RTS to 1, Preamble to "short" and Transmit Power to 25%. Also disabled SSID broadcast, disabled 20/40 coexistence, and disabled WMM.  And yet this still doesn't turn off the 2.4GHz channel because 2.4 devices are still connecting.

Yeah, it's also possible that NG disables/disallows this ability on purpose b/c 2.4Ghz could be required for Orbi/Satellites to function properly. &nbsp;If you're fearless and still want to forcefully disable 2.4Ghz radio on the Orbi via telnet, go ahead and try it. &nbsp;If your Orbi starts showing "Config Sync" and "Waiting for connection", it's probably trying to tell you to reconsider. &nbsp;:smileyhappy:

Thanks for the link, however, that process is unecessarily complicated. Disabling the 2.4GHz or 5GHz channel should be as easy as going into wifi settings and checking/unchecking a box. This seems like an interface shortcoming that Netgear/Orbi should address with an update.

You can disable the WiFi SSID broadcast only. Disabling of either radio is not officially supported by any other means. This is not a bug.
