How to Use Orbi RBK50 with Netgear C3700 modem/router

Hello,

I have an old modem/router Netgear C3700 and I just moved to a new house so I bought an Orbi RBK50 system. If i turn routermode OFF in the C3700 will the Orbi work just fine? Will there be any issues with the ethernet port of the C3700 when I turn router move OFF? Is there anything else I need to do to make sure the system operates correctly, I read somewhere I need to Bridge the connection or something?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Yes, the goal is to have only one "router".  Putting the C3700 into "bridge" or "passthrough" mode is the same thing as "turning routermode off."  On page 70 of the user manual. (You probably found that already.)

At the very least, you can turn off the WiFi radios on the C3700 either by pressing the button or using the C3700 web interface (see page 58)

Yes turn OFF router mode on the C3700. You'll be good then to hook up the Orbi system in router mode. Walk thru the setup wizard on the RBR with a wired PC and web browser.
