So I experienced this today and whilst pinging 1.1.1.1 did NOT work, using 192.168.1.1 to get to the router admin page then and 'testing' the internet did indeed restore connectivity. I'm going to raise with Netgear.

What is the mfr and model# of the ISP modem/ONT that the Orbi router is connected too?
Swap LAN cables between the modem/ONT and Orbi RBR. CAT6 is recommended.
I would update to v16, factory reset and setup from scratch.

It's a Huawei Echolite I believe. If I update to that version and factory reset, can I restore from a config backup or literally have to go through the full setup again?
